Earlier this month Porsche Centre Nottingham and The Star Trust hosted a unique Supercar Day to raise funds for smaller charities across East Midlands. The event was a resounding success, with a total of over £45,100 raised for local causes.
48 local entrepreneurs, high-net-worth business owners and sports car enthusiasts braved the weather to experience a unique day at the Porsche Experience Centre (PEC) at Silverstone. Guests had the opportunity to test drive a selection of the latest Porsche models in different driving scenarios on the dedicated PEC track.
A raffle and auction of donated prizes - which included a Porsche for a weekend, a bespoke handmade tailored suit and various sporting hospitality tickets, helped to boost the fundraising efforts.
The Star Trust is an East Midlands-based charity, run by local business owners and entrepreneurs, which supports good causes across the region. The committee does not take any form of expense or remuneration, leaving every last penny raised to aid the charities. The large amount raised from our recent Supercar Day will be donated across the East Midlands region to those in need across all spectrums of the charity community, without prejudice or bias.
Steve Hampson, Star Trust Co-creator, said: "We are incredibly blessed to have raised over £45,000 from our annual supercar charity day. With the kind and generous sponsorship of Porsche Centre Nottingham, 48 supercar guests were hosted at the awesome Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone. Guest feedback has been incredible, and the event truly showed the brand at its best. Working with Porsche Nottingham once again has been a formidable success and continues to be a long and fruitful commercial partnership."
Michael Mason, Centre Principal of Porsche Centre Nottingham, commented: "The Star Trust is a unique charity which deserves all the support we can give. It was great to see so many people come together to support the work that they do in the local area. With the launch of our new Destination Porsche showroom opening in Nottingham later this Spring, it was also a great opportunity for us to give some local business owners and supercar enthusiasts a taste of what to expect from Porsche Nottingham in the future."

For Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) range and Equivalent All Electric Range (EAER) figures are determined with the battery fully charged, using a combination of both battery power and fuel.

To the extent that fuel and energy consumption or CO₂ values are given as ranges, these do not relate to a single, individual car and do not constitute part of the offer. Optional features and accessories can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics which may result in a change in fuel or energy consumption and CO₂ values. Vehicle loading, topography, weather and traffic conditions, as well as individual driving styles, can all affect the actual fuel consumption, energy consumption, electrical range, and CO₂ emissions of a car.
